Mapping the core of the Tarantula Nebula with VLT-MUSE

We present the spectroscopic analysis of 333 OB-type stars extracted from VLT-MUSE observations central 30 × pc NGC 2070 in Tarantula Nebula on Large Magellanic Cloud, majority which are analysed for first time. The distribution Hertzsprung-Russell diagram (sHRD) shows 281 main sequence. find two groups sequence, with estimated ages 2.1 ± 0.8 and 6.2 2 Myr. A subgroup 52 is apparently beyond sequence phase, we consider to be due emission-type objects and/or significant nebular contamination affecting analysis. As previous studies, stellar masses derived sHRD systematically larger than those obtained conventional HRD, differences being largest most massive stars. Additionally, do not any trend between projected rotational velocity evolution sHRD. presents a tail fast rotators that resembles findings wider population Doradus. use published spectral types calibrate He I λ 4921/He II 5411 equivalent-width ratio as classification diagnostic early-type when classical blue-visible region observed. Our model-atmosphere analyses demonstrate resulting calibration well correlated effective temperature.
